If no, then you must visit a travel clinic as soon as possible.  Well, travel clinic are those medical facilities that provide travel vaccines in NYC or any other city around the globe. Therefore, if you are planning a trip to Switzerland, you must not forget to visit the clinics and get the desired vaccines soon. However, one must visit four–six weeks before the trip, as the vaccines usually take time to get affected in human body.

There are still many people who believe that visiting to the hospital for travel vaccines can be time consuming. However, on the other hand you can face the situation of waiting in long queues for your turn in hospital. As a result, visiting a travel clinic is an ideal option because all the formalities can be completed quickly and on time.

Moreover, you can get travel guidance from such clinics, which you cannot expect from the hospitals.  Here are some of the important vaccines that are provided to the travelers visiting Switzerland-

Hepatitis A- There is a chance of getting Hepatitis A mainly due to contaminated water and food in Switzerland.  Therefore, it is always recommended to get this vaccine before heading up of the trip.

Hepatitis B-The main cause of this disease is the use of contaminated needles, tattoo, piercing, and other blood products. It is likely that a traveler may face any one of them while their visit to Switzerland, so to safeguard one’s life, getting hepatitis B vaccine is must.

Rabies- Rabies is a common disease because of the large population of bats found in Switzerland, which are the reasons for rabies.  However, rabies is a disease that is commonly found in dogs but in Switzerland they are not that risky as bats.  Often the travelers are involved in outdoor activities, which include working with or around bats, so they tend to face rabies more. So, it is always better to be on safe side and get rabies vaccine before travelling.

Other vaccines- Apart from all the aforementioned vaccines, there are still some essential vaccines that a traveler must get. This may include measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, diphtheria-pertussis-tetanus vaccine, varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, and yearly flu shot.
